Diggers Paradise operates this website, including its online courses and shop (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit the Services, create an account, make a purchase or otherwise communicate with us. For the purpose of applicable data protection laws (including the GDPR), Diggers Paradise is the data controller of your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and password (stored only as an encrypted hash).
- Order information: products purchased, amounts, payment method type and, for physical products, your billing and shipping address and phone number.
- Course access: which courses you have access to, which lessons you have watched, and when you last logged in.
- Technical information: your IP address and browser information, recorded in our server logs for security purposes.
We do not store your card or bank details. Payments are processed directly by Stripe.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and give you access to the courses you purchased.
- To process and deliver your orders and send you related emails (order confirmation, password reset).
- To keep the Services secure and prevent fraud.
- To send you our newsletter, only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and protects forms against misuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we share your information with
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy).
- Our hosting provider (Dominios.pt, in the EU) — stores the website, database and email.
- YouTube (Google) — course videos are embedded from YouTube, which may set its own cookies when you play a video.
- Google Fonts — the website's typography is loaded from Google's servers.
- Shipping carriers, only for physical orders and only the details needed for delivery.
- Authorities, when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is active, so you keep lifetime access to your courses. Order records are kept for the period required by Portuguese tax law. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) or your local authority.
Children
The Services are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
